Justin began his tattooing career in Halifax, following a formal apprenticeship under Danny Bartlett. He has been tattooing professionally since 2009. Eventually Justin found his way to Toronto (home for 8 years) where he found his true artistic style and began delving into the intricacies of neotraditional tattooing. Justin opened Bellwoods Tattoo with tattooer Alanna Mule in 2015 and after three years of owning the studio together he felt the time had come to go full circle and find my way home to the coast again. Back in The Passage, where it all began Justin ultimately opened Hometown Classic Tattoo, where you can find him in the front booth Tuesday-Saturday 10-6, come on in and say hey!

Carlee began her apprenticeship at Hometown Classic under Justin in April of 2023. Carlee has been creating art and attending markets all over Halifax for several years, but finally decided to seek an apprenticeship and begin honing a new skill as a tattooer.
